Art materials and framing manufacturer with its own 7,500 m² site, Bulgaria (eurozone)
This Bulgarian company has made wooden wedge stretcher bars for stretched canvas since 1990. Its stretched canvases come in more than 100 sizes, and custom sizes are made to order. It also makes easels, palettes and other artists' supplies.
For framers, it stocks 500+ wood and PVC moulding profiles. Wooden mouldings for picture and mirror frames are imported from Italy, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Greece, and PVC mouldings from South Korea.
It sells through distributors across Bulgaria and three rented shops: Sofia (30 m², in the artists' centre), Plovdiv (60 m²) and the home town (40 m², also a gallery selling paintings by Bulgarian artists).
The company owns its factory site in a spa town in southern Bulgaria: a 7,500 m² plot with about 1,500 m² of buildings, its own transformer station and 50 m of frontage on the main road. Machinery includes CASSESE (France) and GIELLE (Italy) equipment. Some renovation is needed. The owners value the property alone at about €1.1 million (not yet appraised).
Filed accounts for 2024: revenue €350,000, net profit €62,000, EBITDA about €78,000. Revenue grew 46% from 2020 to 2024. There is no bank debt. Stock on the balance sheet at the end of 2024 was €156,000. Bulgaria has used the euro since January 2026.
The owners are retiring and will support a handover. They see room to grow with more marketing.
Asking price: €2,000,000 for 100% of the shares, including land, buildings, machinery and stock. For a qualified buyer, part of the price can be paid after closing.
